Our Farmhouse is situated in the middle of the Orcia Valley National Park -protected by the UNESCO since 2004. Our territory has always been historically important because the “Via Francigena” pilgrim road crosses the surrounding hills. During the 14th Century the Salimbeni family had several fortresses built in this valley in order to defend their estates. One of their castles dominates the whole Valley, including the towns of Pienza, San Quirico d’Orcia, Castiglione d’Orcia, Cetona and Amiata mountain. This landscape is special due to the contrast between its dry clay areas and its rich vegetation (thanks to the Orcia river, the Formone stream and the farm’s lake). A few kilometres from here it is possible to visit the thermal baths of Bagni San Filippo, Bagno Vignoni and San Casciano. Moreover, there is a panoramic swimmingpool right outside the farmhouse. We offer large and independent apartments and rooms characterized by their fireplaces and typical Tuscan Architecture.
